MY STORY

Hi, I'm Cassie! I'm a lifelong animal lover - I've owned horses since I was twelve and my mama got me a young Arabian gelding named Charlie. I've ridden fairly unsuccessfully all my life :)  I currently have four rescue horses, three OTTBs and one retired and spoiled Amish cart pony. They all enjoy the spoils of positive reinforcement training!

​I developed a passion for saddle fitting in 2013 when I attempted to pick out my very first saddle. I enjoyed every minute of learning. Fast forward to fall of 2024 when Stacy Hockel of Equine Inspired took me on as a saddle fitter apprentice. I've enjoyed learning so much more ever since. I attended the International Academy of Saddle Fitters in July of 2025 and continue studies with the North American Saddlery School and the Society of Master Saddlers. 

I am also a certified Hoof Care professional - trained by Ida Hammer. I have a limited number of amazing clients that I adore, and specialize in helping to horses create and maintain happier feet through trimming and glue on shoes.

Prior to my career in the equine industry, I served in the Air National Guard at the 115th Fighter Wing in Madison, Wis. I retired in 2020 with over twenty years of service. I also spent over ten years in animal sheltering as the founder of an animal sanctuary called Remember Me Ranch and as the president of the Watertown Humane Society.
